Dear Parents and Guardians/A Thuismitheoirí agus a Chaomhnóirí,

Value of the Month

The Learn Together value for the month is Unity: harmony in a group; working together with a shared goal. Our wellbeing focus for the month of October involves developing mindfulness. We invite you to go on a family mindfulness walk at home; why not try out the 5 Senses Mindfulness Walk.

Yom Kippur 4-5th Oct

Some classes are learning about Yom Kippur, celebrated as part of Judaism, through PowerPoint presentation and personal recounts by families who practice Judaism.

National Tree Day 6th Oct

To celebrate trees and grow in appreciation of their importance, today some classes visited Albert College Park, the two Fifth classes enjoyed a guided tour on pollination at the Botanic Gardens, and others collected leaves within our school premises.

Both Senior Infant Classes enjoyed exploring Albert College Park this morning, learning about different types of trees and having fun in nature! They collected fallen leaves and will write reports on their favourite one in school. 🍁

SIGN UP NOW – CYBERBREAK IS BACK!

October is Cyber Security Awareness month. We are delighted to announce CyberBreak on Friday, 21st October, 2022. We’re asking families across Ireland to ‘disconnect to reconnect’ by taking a complete break from the online world for 24 hours (5pm Friday – 5pm Saturday). This is a fun way for kids and parents to reflect on how much time they spend online and to promote a healthy online-offline balance. https://www.cybersafekids.ie/cyberbreak/
