G.E.T.N.S. opened in September 2002 under the name Dublin North Central Educate Together National School. We have pupils in all classes from Junior Infants to Sixth Class. We operate under the patronage of Educate Together. Our school is Multi Denominational, Child Centred, Co Educational, and Democratically Run. These are the four principles which underpin all Educate Together schools.

We teach boys and girls together, we do not provide any religious instruction during the school day, our teaching methods are centred on children’s needs and we have a very high level of parental involvement in the running of the school.

In the second year of our existence, when we realised that we had four children, with Autistic Spectrum Disorder, on our pre enrolment list, we opened an Assisted Learning Class. This unit was opened by An Taoiseach, Mr Bertie Ahern T.D. on 1st September 2003.

In January 2017 we moved from our old building on Church Ave to a fantastic purpose built school on Griffith Avenue. Our new building has 16 mainstream classes along with 2 Assisted Learning Classes. In addition to our spacious new classrooms, our new building has a hall, library and many outdoor play spaces. Our new Building was officially opened by Minister for Education, Richard Bruton, on 17th of May 2018.
