Dear Parents and Guardians/A Thuismitheoirí agus a Chaomhnóirí,

School Secretary’s Campaign
Following the protest on Saturday outside Marlborough House and ballot, the campaign will continue with strike action. On the morning of Friday 20th September we will participate with a protest stoppage outside our school in line with other schools. We appreciate any support from the wider community for this very valid and needed campaign. Can you please drop me a quick one line email if you’re able to participate from 8:15am. We would like to get a poignant photo for the media so if you do not want yourself or your children involved in this please ensure you keep them out of the photo which will be taken at 8:30am approx.

Daily Exit from School – First Class Parents
In the interests of safety we would like to make a change to how the children exit the building in the afternoon. From Monday 16th September 1st class children will be collected from the main yard. This will relieve the pressure from the main entrance.

Zeeko Talk for all Parents
This is a great opportunity for parents to get some expert advice around Internet Safety for our children. Zeeko will provide a talk followed by Q&A from 7:30pm – 8:30pm Wednesday 18th September 2019 in the school hall.

GAA Matches
The girls played a match against Scoil an tSeachtar Laoch yesterday and put up a great fight. The boys are playing a match today in Donnycarney. Fair play all for representing your school in the community.

Climate Change Protest – Clown Theme
On Friday, 20th September there will be another children’s climate protest. We would love you to join us. To make it fun for the children and to create an eye-catching photo for the press, we are asking the children to dress up as clowns using face paints, colourful clothes, wigs etc.

The children’s protest signs could say things like:
“Stop juggling with our future” or “Climate chaos is no joke”

Date: Friday, 20th September 2019
