Value of the Month is Unity
First Communion
Congratulations to the children who made their First Holy Communion this week. They shared some lovely memories of their special day with their classes and what making their First Communion meant to them. We shared photos of the children to all the classes on Aladdin.
ALC Classes visit Elmhurst Farm
The children in the ALC Green and Blue classes visited the local Elmhurst Farm on Tuesday.
“In the photos across you will see us meeting with farmer Rossa. We were busy smelling and tasting plants, looking at the chickens in the chicken coop, looking at the the rabbits in their hutch. We had a great time at Elmhurst Farm.” Kathy
“We had a lovely time in Elmhurst farm. We learnt a lot about chickens and organic farming. Thank you so much Farmer Rossa for showing us around!”, Sylvia.

National Tree Day
Children from Junior Infants and 6th class visited Albert College Park today to see the variety of native Irish trees growing there.
Down Syndrome Month
We are using this month to raise awareness of and to celebrate people with down syndrome. One of the teachers is sharing a fact a day with staff. Teachers are very impressed with some of the projects which were also shared from from 4th class.
Clonturk Community College – Enrolment
Clonturk Community College started its enrolment to 1st year for 6th class students last week. The closing date is 22nd October.
Reminders:
We are asking all children to park their scooters and bikes safely and carefully, so they are not blocking others. Park your scooter/bike in the allocated areas under the bike shed please and use the racks where possible. Each class has now been allocated a section.
