Internet Safety Training for Parents and Pupils
Prior to Internet Safety day on Tuesday, 9th February, the Board of Management are providing Internet Safety training for 6th class pupils next week. Details will follow from the class teacher.
I am sure we were all very disappointed to hear that this period of remote learning is being extended and we wait in eager anticipation of more details on the return. However, once again we are really pleased with the level of engagement across the school, well done to all the hard-working pupils, parents and staff.
As we cannot award our monthly RAKA/RARA I suggest that the children nominate an adult(s) in the home for a RAKA/RARA by thanking them for an act of kindness or respect over the last month. I hope they come up with lots!
I believe many of us were thinking of Frankie, Lennon and Craig over the last week with Lisa Lawlor’s media coverage of her new book “Stardust Baby”. We wish Lisa the very best with this and are moved by her bravery and openness.

Holocaust Memorial Day
I wonder did anyone notice Tomi Reichental, Holocaust survivor, on the RTE News. You may remember he attended our opening of the new school as a special guest with an interest in inclusive education where difference is celebrated. The importance of this cannot be underestimated given history and a tendency for it to be repeated.
