Dear Parents and Guardians/A Thuismitheoirí agus a Chaomhnóirí,

Online Autumn Fair Raffle

Walk to School

Next week is walk to school week and we are promoting one of our Green School slogans, ‘If it’s not too far, leave the car’.  The pupils will be carrying out some activities relating to this including some assessment of efforts made next week.

Remember options include walking, cycling, scooting, skating and park ‘n stride.  We are fortunate to have a designated park ‘n stride area just past the Ballygall/Griffith Avenue junction on the right.

With this in mind and the ever changing weather it would be great if children could come to school with rain gear.

And More!

We have elected Ceannairí Gaeilge to promote the Irish Language in our school. Seo iad! Maith sibh go léir.

Daniel’s junior infants getting very creative this morning making scribble monsters! We had super fun giving each monster a different feeling and practicing our proper pencil grip.

Fab PE class with Athletes Ireland coach Shane…  Dees 1st class.  We are pleased to have Shane working with some classes over the next 8 weeks.  A huge thanks for Lisa for organising this.

Really well done to Ben Lynch, past pupil, and brother of Guy who co-authored an insightful and useful article in last Saturday’s Irish Times.  Parents with older children may like to ask the same questions used in this article https://www.irishtimes.com/life-style/2023/09/16/teens-talk-tiktok-i-was-on-it-way-too-much-at-least-five-hours-a-day-it-was-mad/

Frása na Seachtaine:

“Conas atá tú? Tá mé go maith, agus tú féin? Tá mé go maith go raibh maith agat”

“How are you? I am well and you? I am well, thank you”

Le meas
