Dear Parents and Guardians/A Thuismitheoirí agus a Chaomhnóirí,

As part of children’s mental health week, 6th class had a class breakfast on Wednesday morning.  The children made a huge effort and brought in lots of delicious breakfast treats and many even did some home baking! We had pastries, pancakes, French toast, sausage rolls, fruit and lots more! A great morning was had by all!  Padraig

5th class made Victorian style Arthropod displays for their clay arthropods.   We really enjoyed these science and art lessons and learnt a lot about the classification of arthropods along the way.  Sylvia

Sylvia’s 5th class paid a visit to Emma’s junior infant class on Wednesday.  They taught us all about circuits.  It was not only informative but very exciting. Emma

Daniel’s Junior Infants were super excited today during Science! Special guests from Sylvia’s 5th class came in to teach us about circuits and how they work! 💡 we had great fun! 😃

Clara, in Kathy’s 3rd class, giving us a beautiful, improtu performance of the song  ‘A Million Dreams’ from the Greatest Showman to finish off our day on a high note.  Kathy’s

There will be an opportunity for all parents to receive training on the Stay Safe Programme on Zoom, date to be confirmed but hoping for the week after mid-term.

PTA – Save the Dates!
The PTA has a great line up of fantastic events coming up – keep your calendars free. There are lots of opportunities to get involved and join in the FUNdraising!

Step Challenge – 26th Feb – 3rd March  Join us for our annual Glasnevin ETNS GET Walking Challenge, dust off the walking shoes and with the brighter evenings, get the whole family out walking for the whole week and then join the whole school community for a super enjoyable walk on Sunday 3rd March at 2pm followed by refreshments in the school hall.

Table Quiz – Saturday 27th April in Na Fianna!  One of our favourite fundraisers of the year is back again this April, start gathering your team now!

Art Day – Friday 7th June  We cannot wait for Art Day this year, we are busy planning in the background, but this is definitely one of the best days of the School Calendar, loved by children and adults alike. We will be looking for lots of help from parents to make this one the best yet!
