Dear Parents and Guardians/A Thuismitheoirí agus a Chaomhnóirí,
GET Walking 2024!
Thanks to Colin and all the PTA for organising a successful steps challenge last week. Feedback from the children who participated was very positive, they enjoyed ending the walk with a picnic in the school hall around a ‘bonfire’ (not a real one!). This is a lovely community event and the weather was on our side.
Science Blast
Both Fifth Classes visited the RDS this week to participate in ESB Science Blast. Beccy’s class project investigated the question “From what height is it possible to fall from a plane without a parachute and survive?” and Sylvia’s class investigated the question “How do Glow Sticks Work?”.
Both classes had great fun researching and investigating their questions, and our findings were presented to the judging team from whom we received excellent feedback. It was a great day out!

World Book Day
We had a great time dressing up as our favourite characters for World Book Day in third class. We have Asterix with his little dog Dogmatix, Hermoine Granger reading about herself in Harry Potter, two Cats in their Hat’s and all of us together. We LOVE reading. Kathy
