New Educate Together/ETB School opening Sept 2016 – Swords Road, Whitehall

City of Dublin Education and Training Board and Educate Together are delighted to announce the opening in September 2016 of a new Community College in the Whitehall area on the north side of Dublin City. The College will be known as: Clonturk Community College, Whitehall, CDETB in partnership with Educate Together.

1st class will participate in a Water Explorer’s Workshop next week. Thank you to Eoin who volunteered to talk to 1st class about the 1916 Rising.

 

We have received a thank you from Barnardos for our recent donations of used postal stamps.

 

The HSE Vaccination Team will visit our school on Friday 29th January 2016 to administer the Junior Infants Vaccination Programme for the school year 2015/16.

The Junior Infants Vaccination Programme is a school based vaccination programme which is recommended for children aged 4 to 5 years by the National Immunisation Advisory Committee. Children in Junior Infants Classes are offered the MMR (Measles, Mumps and Rubella) Vaccine and the DTP/IPV (Diphtheria, Tetanus, Whooping Cough and Polio) Vaccine. Parents of Junior Infants will receive a letter today with more information.

The following children were awarded Random Act of Kindness Awards this week:  Tariku and Eliza Junior Infants, Peter Senior Infants, David, Tom, William, Ríona, Alice and Donogh 1st, Hannah, Beth and Róise 2nd, Leo 3rd, all of 3rd class, Tess, Sanjit, Ella, Emma, Conor, Thea, Molly and Meadhbh 4th, Zoe and Roanna 5th, Cáit and Layla B 6th.

The following children were awarded Random Act of Respect Awards this week: Marcus Junior Infants, Joseph, Maura, Davin, Eban, Abbie, Ezekiel, Oscar, Rian and Noor 1st, Alex 2nd, Daisy 3rd, Fiach 4th, Joanna 5th, Layla S 6th.
