SVP Food Appeal
GETNS with the help of our Student Council are taking part in the St Vincent de Paul Food Appeal this year. Lots of food has been donated and the Student Council will make hampers with the food. These will be collected in the morning by SVP volunteers. Everyone has been very generous this year and the hampers will help brighten the lives of lots of families this Christmas.
The Book Fair was a great success this year and with your support the school have benefited greatly with over €600 worth of books being supplied to the school. Thanks to all the parents who gave up their time to run the fair including, Stephanie, Annaba, Alan, Milena, Rebecca, Allan, Rosie and Alan. And thank you to Nicky as well.
Peace Tree Plaque
The Peace Tree plaque was erected at the Peace Tree on Tuesday by the Peace Run volunteers, Have a look at it, it reads, “Silence is the seed, Peace is the tree.” May it remind us of peace this December.
High School Musical in St. Marys Secondary School
4th, 5th 6th Class went to St. Marys Secondary School to see their High School Musical yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks to St. Marys for inviting them.
Upkeep of the Grounds
Martin will be back in the school in the morning to tidy the grounds and would be delighted with any assistance from Parents/Guardians from 9am – 11am.
• Assembly will take place this Friday in the school hall.
• Drama on Children’s Rights in DCU: 6TH Class children will go to St. Patricks DCU campus this Tuesday, 10th December to see a drama on Children’s Rights
• School Holidays: The school will close on Friday 20th December at 12pm and will reopen on Monday 6th January 2020 at 8:40am.
