Dear Parents and Guardians/A Thuismitheoirí agus a Chaomhnóirí,

Boys Soccer Final
We are all absolutely thrilled that our boys got through to the final for the first time in the City Division 5 – Final versus St. Patrick’s, Chapelizod. It will be on in AUL Clonshaugh on Wednesday 29th May at 12:30pm. The school will be bringing the team and all of Sixth Class children to support them. May our winning streak be with the players on the day!!

Junior Entrepreneur in RDS
I thoroughly enjoyed accompanying our junior entrepreneurs at the RDS last Friday. They were a credit to you, Colm, and themselves, presenting their work very convincingly, and generally representing the school with a respectful, fun spirit. They were nominated for an award in Creativity. Well done all and thank you Colm!

Track and Field events at Morton Stadium
Ruben won bronze medal in long distance race and Miriam won the silver medal in high jump. What a great achievement, congratulations to you both and to all who participated in Santry Sports. I’d like to sincerely thank Lisa and Jill, in particular, for going above and beyond including working on days off and without your ongoing commitment the children would not get this great opportunity. With thanks to Alan and Beth’s grandad, we have a fabulous display of some action shots.

Visit from MET Eireann
3rd & 4th class were lucky to have a talk from Evelyn Cusack today. Following on from the school’s great work at the climate change protest recently, she spoke to them about the weather, forecasting and global warming. Thank you to Brendan Butler for organising.

Student Council need Raffle Prizes
Our student council would like to ask if anyone can donate a prize for a raffle that will be taking place in the school on the 7th of June (anything big or small would be welcome). All money raised will go to building a fence on the grassy part of our yard to stop balls going down into the ditch. We will also be having a bake sale that day, where every child is encouraged to bring in some treats to sell and there will be a cake competition on the day which is optional for students to enter.

We’re looking forward to meeting our new Junior Infants Parents at the Information Evening tonight at 8pm. Thank you to the PTA who are organising tea and coffee.

Art Day Appeal
We are looking for donations of fabric samples and interior magazines for the interior design stall. The kids will be using these to make their own bedroom mood boards. Please leave any donations in the box labelled ‘Interiors’ in the lobby outside the school office. Many thanks, Olivia
