The following is a top level summary of the items discussed and actions agreed at the May PTA Meeting.

Treasurer provided an update on end of year finances and outgoings expected for May and June (Art Day, Graduation)


The annual GETNS Table Quiz will be held on Saturday 22nd June at 7.30pm in Na Fianna. This is the only social night out for parents, friends, teachers and the local community, as well as a valuable fundraiser for our school. To book a table contact [email protected].


Work on Art Day is progressing well, and all the orders are in. There will be one volunteer break, and Art Day will finish at 1.20. We really need MORE VOLUNTEERS please! Help is needed for set up, stalls, and clean up. Contact your class rep if you would like to participate on the day.


The new JI parent night is being held on the 23rd May. The PTA will attend to support and give an update to incoming parents on the parent led activities in the school

The Junior Infants Coffee Morning on the first day of school (September)

Can you believe it’s been a year! For those in Junior Infants who really appreciated the coffee morning the first day of school, we need you! We need you to help with the coffee morning for next year’s parents. Please contact your class rep if you would like to help out.

New Junior Infants Play date will be held on the 25th August, 11 am in Albert Collage Park. Look out for more information on the Facebook page. The playdate is weather dependant.

2019 AGM

The 2019 AGM will take place in September (date TBC). We would welcome suggestions from parents on speakers or topics that they might be intersted in hearing from. John Sharry spoke at last years AGM. Please send any suggestions in via your class rep or to [email protected]


The next Autumn Fare planning meeting will take place in the Tolka House, on Thursday May 30th at 8.30. Parents in 1st class, we really need MORE VOLUNTEERS to help run the event, please contact Stephanie and Niambh. All volunteers welcomed.
