The SNAG committee are busy preparing some great activities for this year’s Seachtain na Gaeilge. Thomas, in Kathy’s class, taught his classmates how to play Uno in German in celebration of Mother Language Day on Wednesday 21st of February.
STEAM challenge my Senior Infant class undertook with Sylvia’s 5th class. The kids really enjoyed exploring different circuits to turn on the bulb and fan and to make the propeller fly! There was great excitement all round. A huge thanks to Sylvia and her wonderful pupils for organising. Lisa
Our class enjoyed learning some words in different languages for International Mother Language Day. Thanks to parents & pupils who sent in videos, we learn some greetings in French, Polish and Maouri! Lisa

6th Class were delighted to welcome Lt. Killian Toll on Wednesday. Killian is a member of the Irish Air Corps and delivered a very interesting presentation on what it is like to be in the Irish Air Corps, the training that was involved and the work that they do. The children even got to try on some of The Air Corps equipment with many feeling inspired for their future afterwards! Padraig
3rd class celebrated International Mother Language Day this week. One of our activities involved the creation of Balla na dTeangacha or Language Wall. Katrin also visited our class to teach the children some German.
Ailbhe in Lisa’s class came 1st in her age group in the Irish Dancing American Championship last weekend and brought her sash and trophy into the class to show everyone. Well done Ailbhe!
Reminder:
Please walk with your scooter/bicycle through the pedestrian gate in the morning and park them in the designated areas (bike shed/down the side of the school). Please don’t scoot/cycle around the yard in the morning or at collection time.
