Dear Parents and Guardians/A Thuismitheoirí agus a Chaomhnóirí,

What a fabulous start to our school year with the best awesome Autumn Fair ever, participation in Cumman na mBunscoil, cake sale and SVP fundraisers, various trips to drama events including St. Marys school for the first time and continuation of the intergenerational project and much more.

Thank you to all of you, I am really very grateful for your contribution and cooperation throughout the term and for frequently going above and beyond in supporting us in many ways.

I wish to congratulate all the children on their hard work all term and blossoming good manners. Thank you to all the staff for their ongoing dedication, enthusiasm and to the teachers for running monthly value-based assemblies. A special mention to Mick who joined us at the start of this term and is doing trojan work in maintaining and enhancing the school building. We are absolutely delighted to have him on board. As always thanks to Martin and his crew for the great work on the grounds. And I don’t know where we’d be without Nicky.

Its an absolute pleasure to attend the assemblies and different events this week including dancing with participation of parents, staff and pupils in ALC Blue. As we’ve been learning, it’s the simple things, singing, sharing, being together, celebrating that evokes the seasonal spirit. See below suggestions.

Happy Christmas, happy Hanukkah, happy Soltice, wishing you peace and joy and 2020 vision, ha, ha!!

Reminder
• School Holidays: The school will close tomorrow, Friday 20th December, at 12pm and will reopen on Monday 6th January 2020 at 8:40am.
• Martin will be here tomorrow from 9am to 11am to spread some mulch and would very much appreciate you help if you have some time to spare.

Frása na Seachtaine: “Nollaig faoi shéan agus faoi shonas daoibh” – A prosperous and happy Christmas to you

Le meas,
