Dear Parents and Guardians/A Thuismitheoirí agus a Chaomhnóirí,

6th Class Entrepreneur Fair Day

This year, 6th class have been busy setting up their own business and becoming entrepreneurs.

After months of planning and preparation, we’re finally ready to sell our product and will be holding a fair day on Monday, 23rd June. We’ve worked hard to design and create water bottles with the GETNS logo.

The bottles will retail for €5 and can be purchased from the 6th class team on the day.

The money raised will pay for 6th class hoodies. Children can bring €5 cash to pay on the day, and parents will have a chance to buy via Revolut at home time.

We have a total of 450 water bottles to sell so please come and support our business.

Bonus Raffle: For each bottle you purchase you will get a ticket to enter a draw for some great prizes. We have a sealed copy of FC25 for the PlayStation 5 and two €50 One4all vouchers to give away.

Thank you in advance for your support.  6th Class

Art Day

A huge thank you particularly to the organisers and also to every person who helped with setting up, running a station, nourishing us all and of course the clear up.  Its very much appreciated.  The children and staff had a wonderful day and we hope all adult and teenage volunteers also enjoyed it.

Welcome to Junior Infants

We welcomed our incoming Junior Infants on Wednesday, and we really look forward to them starting in September.  We will be saying goodbye to our 6th class children next week and we know they will do us proud moving onto secondary school.

Hamlet performance

We were wowed by the professional performance of Hamlet play adapted by Sylvia’s 5th class.  The level of engagement by every pupil and the huge work in preparing for the performances by the pupils and Sylvia was evident by the amazing standard of the daily performances.

Junior Sports Day

We had a very successful Junior Sports Day, a big thank you to Jill for planning and organising everything and to our 6thclass helpers who shone in supporting the younger children to have a really fun time.  Below are two photographs of Fionn enjoying the obstacle course (more photos to follow from Jill). Other activities enjoyed today include:-

Parachute games, Potato & Spoon race, basketball, playground games, athletics activities, dance and more!

4th class trip to Dublinia

On Tuesday and Wednesday Sinead and Naomi’s Fourth Classes went to visit Dublinia to learn about the Vikings, the Normans, and the dreaded Black Death. We got to try out lots of historical costumes and look at lots of models and artefacts. It was a very interesting tour and great fun was had by all!

This is a picture of a fabulous blanket that Hannah from 5th class crocheted, it’s beautiful Hannah!
