Dear Parents and Guardians/A Thuismitheoirí agus a Chaomhnóirí,

Well done to the class winners and Elsa and Kate the overall winners of our anti bullying poster competition. The standard was very high and Róisín and the children in the Student Council really enjoyed looking at all the enteries.  Thanks so much to everyone who entered.

Naomi & Kate’s 4th class had a great week.  Firstly, they had a visit from baby Charlotte and her mum who spoke to the class about newborn babies, their needs and their development.

They also visited The Ark and took part in a visual art and storytelling workshop about The Adventures of Pinocchio.

3rd class went to Drumcondra Library Monday for some storytelling.

The hurling team are playing their first game today in Johnstown Park today.

End of Year School Tours

The following school tours have been arranged for the classes.  You may have received a payment request on Aladdin for your child’s school tour.  This can be paid in instalments if you wish from now until the day before they are due to go on their school tour.  If you paid a voluntary contribution of €250 in this academic year you will not have received a payment request as this covers the cost of the end of year school trip.  Please contact the school office if you have any queries in relation to this.

  • When dropping or collecting your child early/late to/from school please ensure you close the pedestrian gate securely on your way in and out of the school.

GETNS PTA Table Quiz – Saturday 27th April 2024 @ 8pm –

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Thanks to all of you who have been in touch to book a table or buy raffle tickets. If you haven’t already, we’d love to see you on, what is a great social night for the school community, and also a vital PTA fundraiser for the school

Where & When?

The quiz is being held in the Na Fianna GAA Clubhouse, Mobhi Road (upstairs function room) on Saturday 27th April 2022, kicking off at 8 pm.

How Can I Support the GETNS Table Quiz?

  1. Round Sponsorship 

Quiz round sponsorship is an ideal way to advertise your business/company to our school community and locals alike. Each round answer booklet is printed with the logo of your business and highlighted by the MC on the night of the quiz – a little information and contact information can be added.
If you own/work for companies or local businesses that could sponsor a round, we are asking for a €100 contribution. Please get in touch  [email protected]

2.    Sponsor a Spot Prize for the Raffle

Could you donate a box of chocolates, an extra bottle of wine/spirits, or some beauty products, which could be used as raffle prizes? Please drop donations at the office with Nicky, marked for Lisa Anderson

3.    Book a table at the Quiz
We hope to see as many of the school community as possible at the quiz night. Please email [email protected] to book a table (4 people). A table of 4 is €40. We ask that you email to book asap, so we have an idea of the numbers attending for set-up.  If you don’t have a full group, please get in touch and we will look to join people together. You can pay for your table in advance through Revolut – revtag @lisas2vhr Please make sure to put your full name on the Revolut payment and state Table Quiz

  1. Raffle tickets

Raffle tickets will be available on the night but if you want to buy them in advance or if you can’t make it on the night, you can buy your tickets in advance via Revolut – revtag @lisas2vhr A strip of tickets is €5 or three strips for €10. Please make sure to put your full name on the Revolut payment and state Raffle Tickets.
