Dear Parents and Guardians/A Thuismitheoirí agus a Chaomhnóirí,

Emma’s 4th Class

Sam F in 4th class made the Irish Karate Team on Saturday, comhghairdeas!!!

Well done to budding artist, Eamon, on his masterpiece (see below)

Meave’s 4th Class

We’ve been learning about the Normans and Anna, under her own steam, went off and baked a Norman cake. She sliced it up and shared it with the class. It was delicious! (see below)

Trish – Traffic Warden

Trish was in an accident on Monday but is doing well and will be back at school in a few weeks. She wanted to let you know she will miss the children and looks forward to seeing them soon.  Get well soon Trish!!

Cycle Track on Griffith Avenue

I believe there may be some misunderstanding.  The school has absolutely no part to play in the development of this and has not been consulted.  We were merely given the heads-up last week that the bollards were going in on our side of the road and we passed this message on immediately.   Incidentally many parents in the area are happy to see safe cycle routes for our children and as a green school which encourages green travel, we too welcome this.

PTA

We all eagerly await the lifting of restrictions and as always, the PTA are working hard making great plans for a number of upcoming events.  I believe they will be looking for volunteers to help out in various ways.   Thanks for all the dedication.

Reminder:

Mid-term: 24th and 25th February 2022

School closed on Monday 21st March 2022

Frása na Seachtaine: “Grá mo chroí” – “Love of my heart”, learn this one for your Valentine, not a daily greeting for everyone!

Le meas
