Dear Parents and Guardians / A Thuismitheoirí agus a Chaomhnóirí,
New School
Every attempt has been made to avoid a delay with the school completion date, however, alas, following recent developments we are now likely to be moving in after Christmas.
Assembly
We will have a whole school assembly on Friday at 10.30am to end our work on Peace mark International Day of Peace (21st September). All parents are welcome. During the coming weeks we will participate in the World’s largest lesson which ties in with our value for October which is Sustainability. For more information google: World’s Largest Lesson.
We will be forming our Green School Committee soon and promoting our travel motto ‘If it’s not too far, leave the car’. It’s great to see those who can, choosing green travel.
Important Health & Safety Reminders
- Please tell your children not to scale the wall opposite the school, before or after school. This is very dangerous, disrespectful of our neighbours and older children are setting a very bad example for the younger children. I know this doesn’t apply to everyone.
- Parents please ensure that children who enter/exit the school on scooters or bikes use the big gate (beside my office).
- Please disembark the vehicle and walk to the parking area.
- The racks are for bikes only, scooters go along the railing.
- As always, take care with parking, being mindful of the safety of all, the law and the neighbours. We empathise with all faced with the challenges of parking near the school.
MS Readathon Launch
Don’t miss the launch of the MS Readathon with 5th class on RTE News2Day on Monday 3rd October.
