Dear Parents and Guardians / A Thuismitheoirí agus a Chaomhnóirí,

Absences and Lateness

Parents please remember that class starts at 8.50am and 8.50-9.10am is an important part of the school day. We appreciate your support in collectively encouraging your children to develop good life-long habits in terms of punctuality and attendance. Any child arriving after 9.10am must fill in the sign-in book in Karen’s office.  Also, if your child is sick, please send a note with them on their return to school. There is no need to phone the school unless your child has a contagious illness.

Junior Infants & 3rd Class Road Safety

The Road Safety Authority has provided high visibility vest for all new junior infants and a ‘Going to School’ leaflet for parents which will be distributed next week. 3rd class children will receive a Safe Cross Code pack also.

AUTUMN FAIR – SUNDAY 23RD OCTOBER

12PM TO 3PM

Hi Everyone,

It’s that time of year again – the run up to our biggest fundraiser and great day out – the Autumn Fair!

As always, the Fair only goes ahead with the help of parents.  We have a core committee put together already and have many volunteers, but we always need more, so please put your name forward.

In particular, we are looking for lots of raffle prizes.  In previous years, we had great contacts through parents’ workplaces.  We are asking you now to see what you can do in this regard and in particular to our new parents who will have new contacts!

Secondly, we are looking to explore the idea of Matched Funding.  This is where big companies have a specific policy for making donations and where they will match money raised through fundraising up to a certain sum  – this would be a huge benefit to the fundraising and in particular, this year, where every cent counts to help make our new school absolutely amazing. If anyone works for big companies such as Bank of Ireland, AIB, Vodafone, Dunnes Stores, Tesco, Aldi, Lidl etc. ……… the list goes on, please make enquiries with your HR department – you never know what it might realise for the school and of course our children who are the ultimate beneficiaries.

Thanks a million ~ We have an amazing school, which is about to get even better.
