Communion this Saturday
We wish all the boys and girls who are making their First Communion this Saturday a warm, happy, holy day. It’s a very special day for you and we look forward to hearing about it next week when you can visit the classes to share your experience.
Soccer & Hurling
The children have a hurling match today against Scoil Ciarán and the boys have a soccer match tomorrow in Fairview Park against St. Josephs CBS. Best of luck to all the children playing and you’re welcome to come along and support them.
Mulching with Martin
Martin will be here again tomorrow morning to work with anyone that is available to spread more mulch around the grounds, helping to keep those weeds at bay. If you can help anytime between 9am and 1pm that would be brilliant.
6th Class visit Clonturk Community College
I will bring the 6th class children that are starting in Clonturk Community College in September on a visit to the school on Wednesday 8th May at 11:15am.
Table Quiz : Change of Date
The Table Quiz will not be held on the 10th May and a new date will be issued as soon as possible.
Botanic Gardens Sustainable Living Fair
A Sustainable Living Fair is being held in the Botanic Gardens on the 11th and 12th May and the Botanic Gardens invite the children to be part of the festival in some way, particularly in light of their recent Climate Change march. There will be an informal soapbox–style setup outdoors for short talks 2-5 minuntes long, where they can give little snippets of what they are doing/read short stories/sing songs/give out soundbites and information.
If you are interested in helping out with the children at this event please contact the school office.

Art Day
43 days to go to another amazing Art Day! Thanks to all the people who have already put their names forward to volunteer. We still need more parents/guardians to join us; come and help in creating artistic clothes, jars, paper crafts, and loads more. Most of all come and create some memorable moments with other parents and your children. No artistic background required, so come on, come and join our school community and help your children try their hands at different forms of art.
Thanks as well for the Lego donated so far. This year we are aiming to have our own Lego station: sourced by the school for the school. If you have any unwanted bricks – you know you do – bring them along to give them a fresh start.
For further information and to find out how to help out on the day, contact the Art Day committee at [email protected]
THANK YOU FOR HELPING OUT!!
