Restorative Practice at Home
As part of our our commitment to wellbeing we are continuing to develop a restorative practice approach in school. If interested in trying this out at home please click here for a podcast.

Maths Curriculum
As you know there is a new Maths curriculum which we are familiarising ourselves with as we review approaches and practices. Please click on this link for information for parents.

Traffic Safety
PTA and parent volunteers will be onsite supervising traffic and pedestrians into and out of the school next week at drop off – let’s all start 2025 off by working together to make sure everyone is safe! If any parents would like to help with this for half an hour any morning next week, please just email [email protected] with your availability. Rachael

ECA Update
As the next ECA term kicks off, a reminder to all parents that the ECAs are organised by parent volunteers, who give up their time to help make sure a great programme is run for the kids. The ECA committee urgently needs more volunteers to keep things running smoothly – please contact [email protected] if you can give some time to help with this.
The ECA application form will close at 4pm on Friday 10th January: https://forms.gle/SPeHxGuVn7VpYZrj8
You can find the timetable online here to make your class choices: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1kiByj5QEfoiegW9QRvmofDdkee3ijZF32C3YgoLcLww/edit?tab=t.0
We aim to share offers and class lists with providers starting the week of January 13th, so you should receive offers and enrolment information by the end of that week, before classes begin the week of January 20th. Most queries should be directed to providers but please contact [email protected] if you have not heard anything by Thursday 16th January after applying.
Thanks
ECA Committee

And More!
We started our Literacy Power Hour in 2nd class this week. We have 5 stations which we work at for 10 minutes. We can see how much progress the children have already made and how they are confident readers! We look forward to the next few weeks of Power Hour.

A fab first week back in Dee’s Senior Infants
We didn’t get any snow, but we made great use of the cold snap and made some Ice Sculptures.

Reminder:

• School closure at 12pm on Friday, 14th March 2025 for staff training.
• If your child is feeling unwell, please keep them at home until they are feeling better.
• When dropping or collecting your child early/late to/from school please ensure you close the pedestrian gate securely on your way in and out of the school.
