Dear Parents and Guardians/A Thuismitheoirí agus a Chaomhnóirí,

Congratulations to Lisa, Glasnevin ETNS’ wonder woman, who came 5th place in the Women’s Mini Marathon last Sunday!!

Huge thanks to our busy Art Day team and helpers.

Art Day – What your child needs to bring in on ART DAY Friday 7th June – See more information below

We have a wide array of fabulous stations this year. Your child will need to bring in

  • a glass Jar for glass painting
  • 2 plain white T-Shirts* (one for Tie Dye and one for Screen printing)
  • an item of clothing should they wish to upcycle or a sock to make a puppet!
  • 6th class students – please bring in an extra t-shirt or plain tote bag to decorate as a special keepsake!

Please note, if your child participates in tie dye, their t-shirts will be coming home in a plastic bag, please leave t-shirts till the next morning, so that the dye absorbs fully and complete the final step at home. This is the rinsing step, please rinse t-shirts separate to other clothing so that the dye will not run into anything else! Items should be rinsed till the water runs clear leaving your child with an awesome piece of wearable art!

We look forward to a fantastic Art day!

6th Class Entrepreneur Fair Day

This year, 6th class have been busy setting up their own business and becoming entrepreneurs.

After months of planning and preparation, we’re finally ready to sell our product and will be holding a fair day on Friday, 14th May. We’ve worked hard to design and create snoods with the GETNS logo.

The snoods are available in black and green. They can be worn in a variety of ways and are perfect for sports and other activities.

They will retail for €5 and can be purchased from the 6th class team on the day.

The money raised will pay for 6th class hoodies and we also hope to make a donation to charity.

We have made enough snoods for every student (and staff member) in the school so no one will be left disappointed.

Thank you in advance for your support.  6th Class
