Dear Parents and Guardians/A Thuismitheoirí agus a Chaomhnóirí,

Peace & Justice Day

Tomorrow we will have a Junior and Senior Assembly to share and celebrate some of the work on our value for the month, Peace and Justice.  The Wellbeing committee are leading a fundraiser for two charities, Save the Children and Reading with dogs.  Please remind children to wear their PJs to school tomorrow and very importantly to bring in €2.

Home-based Summer Provision

This summer our school are running the ‘Summer Programme’ for children with diagnoses of ASD and other complex needs. Unfortunately, there is no more availability on the programme so if your child is eligible for home-based tuition over the summer and you are interested in applying, please let the school know by June 6th at the latest.  Once we know, we will complete an application for each individual and you will receive a confirmation email with next steps.

Some exciting news…

The RTE ‘news2day’ team will be joining us for Art day this year! This will be a great way to show off our talented pupils, hardworking parents and creative school community.

If your child does not want to be in the recordings please let the school know ASAP so that we can ensure they are not in the view of the cameras on the day.

The girls camoige team played their semi final yesterday in Na Fianna and were fantastic competitors and worthy winners. We had super support from family and friends and worked so well as a team to secure the victory. We now have the chance to play the finals in Croke Park! This is only the second time we’ve had a full camoige team in the school and a fantastic achievement for the girls. We are all so proud of you and can’t wait for our exciting day out. The date has not been confirmed yet but all support will be welcome on the day.Well done girls!  Jill & Niamh

On Tuesday, Niamh and Lisa’s senior infants visited Newgrange farm in Co. Meath. The class learned a lot from farmer Tom and really enjoyed their day. They got to hold little baby chicks, pet some cute kittens and puppies, milk a cow, have a tractor ride to see the tooth fairy’s house, feed the hens and lambs, play in the sand & water and have a game of hide and seek in the hay maze! An action packed fun-filled day out!
