Dear Parents and Guardians/A Thuismitheoirí agus a Chaomhnóirí,
Learn Together
A new learn together curriculum has been launched by Educate Together. This will be a great support for teachers and all Educate Together schools and we are very grateful to the hard work of the team from ET National Office. It was passed at the ET AGM on Saturday, 6th May. Thanks to Sorcha for representing our school at the AGM. ET have a GoFundMe page to get this printed (click here to access), any support gratefully received.
Student Council attend the Board of Management meeting
The student council met with the Board of Management to share some of this year’s initiatives they have inspired, to promote inclusivity and to request permission to carry out a fundraiser. All Board members were blown away by the manner in which the children relate to each other with respectful listening and eloquent expression showing great critical thinking skills that are aligned to our ethos and values such as empathy and sustainability.
Basketball
The basketball team attended a Junior NBA tournament in the National Basketball Arena, Tallaght on Tuesday with Colm and basketball coach, Praha. They met a former NBA play Dalibor Bagaric (see photos) and were joined by children from Sacred Heart and Corpus Christi as part of the JrNBA program.
Athletics

And more!
Ribbit!
4th class have been really enjoying looking after our tadpoles and froglets. Today Jeremy turned into a frog and has been practicing breathing on the log!
We also had loads of fun making nests in the forest trail. We’re hoping the swifts will build nests in the nest boxes soon. Maeve
Junior Infants had a wonderful experience when they visited the tadpoles in Maeve’s class. It inspired lots of new discovery about the life cycle of a frog and they were eager to write about it in their copies afterwards. Thanks for the invite third class!
Junior Infant independent emergent writing and estimated spelling inspired by their visit to the tadpoles.
1st Class had an amazing day at The Lullymore Heritage and Discovery Park… we saw the Famine house, the Neolithic farmstead, visited a hedge school, and went on a train. Dee
