Dear Parents and Guardians/A Thuismitheoirí agus a Chaomhnóirí,
We’re very happy with how well the children has settled back in Kathy and Sylvia’s classes. Everyone is delighted to be back in school and we are looking forward to welcoming Junior Infants to 2nd class on Monday. We will forward more information to the relevant families shortly.
Key messages on the reopening of schools from the Department of Education:
- Parents of children returning to school will be asked to complete a declaration form (this will be available to submit on Aladdin Connect app/browser). The Department states that this form is to be used when students are returning to school after any absence.
- There is a wide range of materials available for schools to support the communication with parents and students and re-enforce public health messaging. These include video messages from public health doctors on the safety of schools and digital animations and videos.
- There should be no congregation outside schools during this phase or at any stage, and that staff engagement should be requested through the school and will be provided by phone/email.
Value for the Month of March is Responsibility, very apt as individual responsibility, in the interest of safety and good health for the whole community, is paramount to our safe return to school.

Wellbeing
Click here to view the Wellbeing Newsletter for February.
We hope children are continuing to enjoy our wellbeing activities and hopefully some of you have built some of the practices into your day. Our current Wellbeing focus is Yoga. Yoga is a series of movements connected to breathing. Yoga teaches children self-care and relaxation techniques to help them to deal with little challenges that may arise in their lives. The benefits for adults are also abundant.
Please find some nice yoga practices to try out on our Wellbeing page. Thanks again Lisa!
