Dear Parents/Guardians
Annual meeting of Board with Parents and PTA AGM
Thanks to those who came along last night, it was disappointing there weren’t more people. Thanks to Rachael and the PTA for organising the speaker, David Gillick who gave a very interesting talk. In relation to instilling in children the importance of sports and physical activity he emphasised the elements of fun and encompassing opportunities for connecting with your children.
New Chill Zone Mural
A creative team of painters, led by our own Justine ‘Michelangelo’ Chambers has finished a wonderful mural in the Chill Zone. The painting represents our lovely forest walk complete with our resident fox, squirrel and robin. It also features our friendly reading dog, Rocky – the best dog in Ireland!
Thanks to Conor, Max, Lucy, Oscar, Mia, Senan, Jorge for their hard work. The result is just beautiful. And special thanks to the amazing Justine! It wouldn’t have happened without your drive and vision!
And More!
Marathon Kids Final Mile Event at Morton Stadium
A huge well done to all our 6th class students who completed their final mile of the Marathon Kids programme in Morton Stadium in Santry last Wednesday.
Over the last 8 weeks, each child managed to run a whopping 42 kilometers and learned lots about health and fitness along the way.
A massive thank you to Dublin City Sport & Wellbeing Partnership for supplying the booklets, t-shirts and medals and a special mention to our local Sports Officer, John MacDonald, for facilitating the programme.
The ECA committee is looking for your feedback!
We would greatly appreciate it if you could take a few minutes to complete the short survey. https://forms.gle/Nqi1rixY6XT8e6Fu6
Thanks
ECA Committee (Martina, Claire, Alan and John)
