Both 2nd classes have begun literacy power hour twice a week and are enjoying reading, writing and word work stations.

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Bí Cineálta (Antibullying procedures) – Recruiting Parents for mini project during Term 2

All schools will have new procedures for dealing with bullying based on a new document Bí Cineálta due to be introduced from September ’25. In consultation with the parent body, I invite any parents who are interested in being part of this process. It will involve a few meetings over the coming months, please get in touch if interested by email or talk to me at drop-off time.

Staff have begun some work on this and will have a half day closure (at 12pm) for training on Friday 14th March 2025. The Student Council have already begun work on a student friendly version.

Winter Recital

A huge thanks to Rebecca for treating us all to some Christmas cheer this morning. Well done to the colourful choir for their beautiful singing and expressive grooving, it was delightful.  Over €400 was raised for UNICEF. Enjoy this lovely video which captures a snippet of the talent.

Child Vision

We were delighted to have Amanda and Jill here from Child Vision to deliver the finished piece of work from Art Day ‘24 Whole School Project. It is a stunning woven hanging which we will enjoy finding a home for, suggestions welcome. A sample of children from 3rd and 6th gathered in the library for the unveiling of same and to give some feedback. Amand and Jill were impressed with their insightful answers e.g. (in relation to wearing the special glasses while weaving) helped give us a different perspective on what it is like to not have full sight.

We really grateful to Amanda, Jill and all at Child Vision for this opportunity for the students and the beautiful art work.

ALC Green painting melted snowmen and decorating our felt Christmas tree! Grace

Daniel’s JI ready to blast off this week in their newly built rocket 🚀 😊

Naomi’s 4th class had a great week with two local excursions. They visited Drumcondra library and enjoyed reading some new books. Afterwards they enjoyed some playtime in Griffith park. Today they also visited Glasnevin National School where they watched their dress rehearsal of Roald Dahl’s 3 Little Pigs. Here are some photos of their fabulous winter art where they were learning about shading their snowmen. Naomi

  • If your child isfeeling unwell, please keep them at home until they are feeling better.
  •  When dropping or collecting your child early/late to/from school please ensure you close the pedestrian gate securely on your way in and out of the school.
