Dear Parents and Guardians/A Thuismitheoirí agus a Chaomhnóirí,
This a fun filled time of the year for schools. Well done to all involved on two great sports days and thanks for 6th class children for helping on Junior Sports day. Congratulations to 6th class on a very successful JEP, they have been organised, creative and very entrepreneurial. To date all school tours are going very well and here to a super day tomorrow with the phenomenal and comprehensive line-up. We are hugely grateful to Claire and the Art Day team who have been busy planning and preparing for months to ensure a memorable day for all.
JEP – 6th Class
6th Class would like to thank everyone who has supported them by purchasing one of their Coco Mugs so far!
6th Class will be inviting 5th class and 2nd class to buy their mugs on Monday and they will also be coming around to all classes so that if a child forget their money, they can still buy a Coco Mug. Pádraig

We have been awarded our Amber Wellbeing Flag! Please find more information about the Amber Flag initiative here.
Sport’s Day
We all had a wonderful, fun-filled Sport’s Day! Lots of photos of all of the activities can be found on our website here.
Upcoming:
School Tours
- Junior Infants – 13th June to Newbridge Farm
School Calendar for Academic Year 2023/2024
Reminder:
- Please arrive to school on time as many classes are doing circle time and other learning activities at 8:40am, coming in later than this disrupts the whole class learning and means your child is missing out.

ART DAY 2023
If you can’t make Art Day this year (Friday 9TH June– yup, that’s tomorrow) don’t worry you can still play a big part! We need LOTS OF DONATIONS FOR THE FOOD ROOM to help us feed all the great volunteers that make Art Day such a success.
SO WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
SOME SWEET STUFF FOR COFFEE BREAK: Cakes, biscuits and all baked goods always go down well, and don’t worry if you are not a baker or don’t have the time – shop bought is just as appreciated! No nuts please due to allergies.
We also need LOTS OF SAVOURY FOOD for the main lunch break on the day – so please send in salads (all types – mixed lettuce, coleslaw, pasta salad grain salads etc), quiches, savory tarts, meats, cheeses etc Again, don’t feel you have to get making – all the main shops have great salads, quiches and tarts these days! As we have lots of vegetarians, vegans and coeliac volunteers please label any food that is veggie or gluten free.
Food must be dropped off on the morning of the 9th June – our Food Room volunteers will be there from 8.40am.
What your child needs to bring in on ART DAY
We have a wide array of fabulous stations this year. Your child will need to bring in a glass Jar for glass painting, 2 plain white T-Shirts (one for Tie-Dye and one for Screen printing), an item of clothing should they wish to upcycle or a sock to make a puppet!
We look forward to a fantastic Art day!
