Dear Parents and Guardians/A Thuismitheoirí agus a Chaomhnóirí,

Open Hour

Given the last two years we’ve had we thought it would be nice to open the school for all current school parents/guardians to see inside the building and get together.  You’ll have the opportunity to admire our lovely building with art installation (the river, the heron and the mobile in the foyer) and to see our new library and have a social cuppa on Wednesday, 8th June between 6pm – 7pm.  We are grateful to the PTA who will organise tea and coffee in the hall.  We look forward to seeing you there.  In the interest of health and safety the invite is extended to parents/guardians only (no children, grandparents, neighbours, pets😊)

Green Schools – Park and Stride Prep for September

From September the cycling path will be in place, parking outside the school will no longer be available.  There are two options for parents who drive to school:

  1. Park and stride
  2. Set Down area in the school grounds

In preparation for this change and our continued commitment to promoting Green Travel, we will be familiarising the children with the park and stride area, walking them there and back to the school in groups, over the 8th, 9th and 10th June between 9:15am and 10:15am.

Niamh from DCC will be here to assist and answer questions.  If any parents would like to come along, please let us know (by email [email protected]).

Hurling & Camogie

All of our matches have now finished, and we are so proud of all the girls and boys who participated this year, they were fantastic!! Thanks to all the coaches that worked with them, they said that they really enjoyed coaching the teams and they were a pleasure to work with.

Eco-Friendly Art Day!

Hi everyone,

This year we are having a sustainable art day!

This means we are trying our best to use the three Rs: reduce, reuse and recycle.

We are also collecting ideas so if you have any, please contact Pádraig.

These are some ideas we have come up with:

  • Junk art station!
  • Make your own bug hotel or bird house!
  • A whole school clean-up project!
  • Using leftovers next year!

WE HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT SUSTAINABLE ART DAY!!!!!!
