Aistear Play

We had great fun during our Free Play as always. This month’s theme was the garden centre. The children enjoyed digging & planting in the soil, working with real vegetables; creating their own garden centres & other imaginative creations in junk art & with blocks & lego; taking on different roles in our garden centre role play area and free play with clay & creating their own pinch pots. We also planted our very own sunflower & beetroot plants & we were great at looking after them & remembering to water them, even when our teacher forgot!

Active Photos & Trip to the Botanics

Fun being active and on our trip to the Botanic Gardens! In PE, we worked on athletics for the last two months. We practised our running, jumping and throwing skills. We were very enthusiastic about our mindfulness walk through our Active Walkway. We stopped at each control point to listen for an instruction & we enjoyed drawing pictures of the things we could see, smell, touch and hear along the way!
