Lisa’s second class have been working hard for the past month & having fun at the same time!

We made 3D shape nets and talked about the properties of each shape.

The children really enjoyed visiting the residents at local nursing homes. They read stories with the residents, chatted to them about school & their lives, played fun games & beautifully sang Molly Malone!

We learnt some new Lámh signs this month too.

The children enjoyed learning all about Africa for the last month. They worked together to create wonderful projects on different African countries & presented them to the class. We all learnt about the culture, famous people & landmarks & lots more interesting facts about each country!

We designed and created amazing tribal inspried masks!

As part of Road Safety Week, we learnt the Safe Cross Code song and dance moves! I’m sure they will be happy to show off their moves at home too!

Our local community Garda visited the school. Garda Martin discussed how to be safe as a pedestrian & as a cyclist or scooterist with the children. He highlighted how important it is to wear a helmet at all times when riding a bicycle or scooter.
Some of our students performed a fantastic threatre show with puppets for us as part of their show and tell!
